cousins

I was so happy today to make Facebook connections with two cousins! I hope that we will have an even bigger turnout for this year's reunion!! I have already started planning!

So many things going on with work and I have to finish painting my living room...clean the house...get ready for outside spring clean up!!!! Wow! I gotta get off my butt and get to work!!

Let the planning begin!!

It is less than 6 months till the Reunion, so I am starting to plan! I love planning the event and hope that others will join in with ideas! I have discussed with some others the idea of a Luau inspired party! I also have a few surprises up my sleeve that I will not share until the day of the event! Since we are holding the reunion at a different venue, one that gives us an indoor kitchen, with electricity, keeping foods hot and cold will be much easier this year. I hope that since we are planning this year's reunion earlier than last year's more people will be able to plan ahead and attend.

We also want to plan ahead for the T-shirts, there was one example in the newletter, but please contact me if you have any other ideas.

Another month almost gone

I see that I haven't posted anything here since New Year's Eve and here we are...January almost gone! I am just finishing up getting the newsletters ready to mail out...I hope you all enjoy them. The Reunion is only about 180 some days away, it will sneak up on us and be here before we know it. I am trying to come up with a theme for the reunion and I am thinking Luau! I don't think they would appreciate it if we dug a hole to cook a pig, but we can still have fun with it. It will be nice to have the indoor space, electricity with no hassle and the privacy.

As another year passes, I think about how thankful I am for my family. It was a wonderful treat to join together with so many family members at our reunion. As I watch the snow fall, I look forward with great anticiapation to our second annual reunion...which is in JULY...when it is HOT...and doesn't snow!!!! God Bless us, everyone!

Christmas is coming....

but I think it is me who is getting fat[ter] not a goose...LOL!

Just some wrapping to do, then I think I am done. I have a Dr. appointment at 12:45 tomorrow, will stop and pick up a veggie tray for Christmas day on my way home. Last year I forgot that nothing was open late Christmas Eve, won't make the same mistake this year. Get your cookies ready, Santa is getting ready to come to your house!!

Christmas plans

I have been trying to get everything done for Christmas so at the last minute I am not in a rush. I don't really have that much to do, my son-in-law may be coming over with the grandkids sometime over the holiday, but it is hard to say when. I just have a couple small gifts to pick up, and the only thing left to do is wrap and enjoy the holiday. We are going to my sister-in-law's house for Christmas afternoon, so the morning will probably be very relaxing just sitting around with Dave watching TV...maybe I can sneak in a showing of White Christmas!

I can't believe Christmas is so close... this year has just flown by...along with taking better care of our health, I think we need to make a resolution to just pay more attention to what is going on and savor each day. The years go by so fast, it seems it was just the start of Spring and then it is Christmas again!
