So Close now...

As the reunion grows closer, I am getting so excited...I am looking forward to seeing everyone and sharing what has been going on in our lives for the past year!

The weather here has been great, keep praying for another wonderful day on the 31st.

Still hoping to hear from many more family members that they are attending. We're going to have a great time...I promise!!

Have a great week!

Look at that!!!

Woo Hoo...look at that...only 34 days till the reunion!!!!

T-shirts

If you are ordering t-shirts the cost is $13.00 per shirt. It would be great to have the money prior to the reunion, but if that isn't possible, you can pay for them that day.

Thanks!

Reunion!!!

Plans for the 2nd annual Allen-Shaffer Family reunion are in full swing! This year's event promises to be even more fun than last year. The venue for the reunion will provide us with more space, electricity, refrigeration, & privacy.

We will be in the house the day before the reunion so if you are coming into town on Friday and have something that needs to be refrigerated, we have a place for it to be kept!

We hope that we have an even better turnout for this years event...please remember to reply by July 10th.

Check out the site for the Manley Bohlayer Farm-looks like the bridge to the Farm will be out of commission, will need to come the back way.

I hope everyone enjoys the newsletter...the latest edition will be going out this week. The reunion will be here before we know it!! Going up to the Canton area next weekend so I plan to stop in at the reunion site to get an idea of what kind of space we will have for outdoor activities.

Invitations will be sent next month!!

Happy Birthday to my Dad

Today would have been dad's 90th birthday. It makes me so sad just to think of it. It seems like such a short time ago that we were celebrating his 80th birthday with a big surprise party and thinking about what we would do to celebrate his 90th! It seemed like he would always be here. He is still with us, in our hearts, but it isn't the same as having him to see and talk to.

I still talk to dad, and I know he is watching over us all, looking down on us and acting as our guardian angel. For that reason, I know he will hear me when I say, many times today...Happy Birthday, Dad...I love you!
